Obituary
Eva Beatrice Blackmon Dees, 93, of Mt. Airy, NC, formerly of Franklin, passed away Friday, December 7, 2012.
Born in Sarasota, FL, she was the daughter of the late William Blackmon and Ella Dove Walker Blackmon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Shelley B. Dees, who died December 7, 1994 and brother, Harvey Blackmon. Eva was a member of Victory Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Shelley B. Dees Jr. and wife Joan of Greenville, SC; two daughters, Donna Davis and husband Mike of Mt. Airy, NC and Robin B. Ledford and husband Gary of Rockledge, FL; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 9th, at Victory Baptist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
