Ethel Passmore Heefner, 87, of Franklin, was promoted to her new position in glory on Tuesday, January 27, 2009.
She was born on March 25, 1921, in Macon Co., and was the daughter of the late Joshway Passmore and Doshie Trantham Passmore. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Heefner. Ethel was a member of West Franklin Baptist Church.
She is survived by sister, Lurie Canapp of Rock Hill, SC; brother, Charlie Passmore of Cashiers; three daughters, Norma Chastain and husband Kenneth of Tuckasegee, Betty Middleton and husband Bud of Waynesville and Margaret Steele and husband Clyde of Franklin; son, Kenneth Heefner of Otto; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2009 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Harry Steele and Rev. Clifford Parker will officiate. Burial will be in the Double Spring Cemetery, Cullowhee Mt.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2009 at Macon Funeral Home.
Grandsons and great-grandson will serve as pallbearers.
