Erwin Charles Rickman, 86, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013.
Born in Proctor, NC, he was the son of the late Joseph Henry Rickman and Candice Olene Sawyer Rickman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Alen Rickman and grandson, Nathan Dills. Erwin was a US Army Air Force veteran and served during WWII. He was a member of Snow Hill United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mary Jo Bennett Rickman. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Barbara Ann Kniffen and husband Charles of Oxford, MI, Stephen Rickman of Franklin and Caren Rickman of Florida; nine grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29th at Snow Hill United Methodist Church. Rev. Donna Cobb will officiate.
