Ervin Denton Burrell, 63, of Franklin, entered into rest on Thursday, June 16, 2005.
Born in La Plata, Maryland, he was a lifelong resident of Macon County. He was the son of the late Boyd Denton Burrell and Flora Jeanette Hopper Burrell. He retired from Harris Corp. in 1998 and from Macon County Maintenance Dept. in 2004. Ervin was an avid Nascar and Atlanta Braves fan and a bass fisherman. He was a member of Iotla Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Beckie Huber Burrell; two children, Kenneth Burrell and wife Susan of Clearwater, FL and Cynthia Jones and husband, Ted of Melbourne, FL; one sister, Janice Cabe of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, Ryan and Zack Jones; and one nephew.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Guy Duvall will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Denton Higdon, Ray Shepherd, Raymond Shepherd, Robert Shepherd, Steve Ledford, Tom Welch, James Mann and Bobby King.
