Ernest Edward Pignona, Jr. 91, of Otto and Venice, FL, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2012.

Born in Morristown, NJ, he was the son of the late Ernest Edward Pignona, Sr. and Sarah Buckley Pignona. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hickok Pignona; son, Craig Pignona; grandson, Randy; one brother and two sisters. Ernest was a US Air Force veteran and served during WWII. He retired as an automotive service manager. Ernest was an avid golfer; formerly a member of the Kiwanis Club in Morristown, NJ and honorary member of the D.A.V. He was of the Presbyterian faith. He was a kind and special man and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by two children, Salli Perone and husband Russell of Otto and Ernest E. Pignona, III and wife Beatrice of Franklin; grandchildren, Heather English and Scott Perone; special sister in-law, Mary A. Goldy of Altamonte Springs, FL and several other grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A Private Service was held at Macon Funeral Home.
