Ernest Perry Cabe, 71, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2007, in a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born November 29, 1935, in Franklin, North Carolina �" the son of the late Weaver and Eva Moses Cabe. He was a member of the Holly Springs Baptist Church.. He was a graduate of Franklin High School, class of 1954. He made a career of the U. S. Navy and retired with 30 years service..

He was preceded in death by his wife of 37 years, Frances Willoughby Cabe, a sister, Bertha Marea Cabe and a brother, Gene Rogers Cabe. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Perry Glen and Ellen Cabe of Holden, W. Va. and stepson, Monte Willoughby, 3 sisters �" Alma C. Taylor of Baton Rouge, La., Iris C. Alderman of Albany, Ga., and Shirley C. Hodnett of Chattanooga, Tenn., 3 brothers �" Arthur, Robert, and Earl Cabe of Franklin, N.C.

Sawyer-George Funeral Home �" Corpus Christi, Texas, is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will be in the Robstown Memorial Gardens �" Robstown, Texas.
