Obituary
Emma "Ellie" Smith, 51, of Franklin, entered into rest on Sunday, February 6, 2005.
A native of Lexington, SC, she was the daughter of Adam Leonard Smith and Margaret Bannister Smith. She was employed by the Macon Citizens for the Handicapped.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Frank L. Smith of West Columbia, SC and Robert Donald Smith of Franklin; one sister, Jane S. Privette and husband Jim of Hartsville, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, at Cowee Baptist Church. Rev. Shawn Edwards, Rev. William C. Solomon and Rev. Jim Kinard will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, at the church.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Privette, Adam Privette, Andrew Privette, John Chastain and Mike Arnold.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Macon Citizens for the Handicapped, 909 Lake Emory Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
