Emma Lee Tallent Clark, 90, of Franklin, passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012.
Born in Macon County on November 12, 1921, she was the daughter of the late George and Ida Roper Tallent. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lemuel Robert Clark who passed away on September 13, 2004; six brothers, Lloyd, Weaver, Eugene, Frank, Cecil and James and three sisters, Pallie Tallent, Eddis Poindexter and Anna Lois Martin. Emma was a member of Cowee Baptist Church for over 70 years.
She is survived by three sons, Jim Clark and wife Pat of Chapel Hill, NC, Harold Clark and wife Kim of Franklin, NC and Max Clark and Patti of Durham, NC; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three sister-in-laws and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 12, at Cowee Baptist Church. Rev. Ronnie Branson, Rev. Charles Stevens and Rev. Clark Sheffield will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, November 11 at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be J.R. Clark, Matthew Clark, Clarence Clark, Sterling Peek, Dennis Martin, Grover Sheffield, Jr., Mike Simons and Olin Ledford.
