Elizabeth J. "Bette" Sloan, 82, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, May 18, 2014.

Born in Pittsburg, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late S.D. DeLappe and Isadore Eels DeLappe. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Orin Robert Sloan who died May 12, 2001. She was a member of Iotla Methodist Church, member of the Gideons Auxiliary; member of the Home Extension Club and active with the Crop Walk for many years.

She is survived by three children, Karen Connelly of Winchester, VA, David Bryan Sloan of Asheville and Linda Sue Griffin of Franklin; five grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Iotla Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Wednesday, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be members of Iotla Methodist Church.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
