Elizabeth Bridge Pickels, 94, of Cleveland, TN, formerly an 8 year resident of Soddy Daisy, TN and previously a resident of Franklin, NC, where she and her husband, Joseph H. Pickels resided for over 30 years, passed away, March 19, 2009.

Born in NY, she was the daughter of the late Fred Noyes Bridge and Elizabeth Barber Schwartz. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph H. Pickels, who passed away on October 23, 1999 and a daughter, Mary Jane "Tooky" Pancratz who passed away in February of 1981.

Elizabeth was an avid traveler, having traveled to Europe many times; was an avid reader and loved cooking and baking. Elizabeth was also a dedicated pet owner and loved her animals.

She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Massingill of Cleveland, TN; two sisters, Peggy Williams of St. Petersburg, FL and Patricia LeFavor of Colorado; Four grandchildren, Melanie D. Schaubroeck and husband Matthew of Canton, GA., Kristan B. Knapp of Chattanooga, TN., Kelly Pancratz previously of Ormond Beach, Fla. and Michael Pancratz, also previously of Ormond, Beach, FL and Patricia Muschert of Philidelphia, PA (who was like a daughter to her).

Family graveside service only. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to your local Humane Society in the name of Elizabeth B. Pickels.
