Obituary
Eleanor Knowles Joye, 84, of Franklin entered into eternal life Saturday, April 6, 2019.
Born in Riviera Beach, FL, she was the daughter of the late Uriah Knowles and Clara Knowles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, one grandson, and one great granddaughter. She was a devoted Christian and enjoyed living in the mountains. Eleanor loved cooking, canning, and flower gardening.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Tom Joye; children, Judy Spurlock of Franklin, Donnie Joye (Debbie) of Otto, and Jill Loll of Franklin; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, April 14 at Ellijay Baptist Church. Rev. Tony Drinnon will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Macon Funeral Home, 261 Iotla Street, Franklin, NC 28734, to help with the funeral expenses.
Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
