Edwin C. Hall, 78, of Franklin, passed away Monday, February 14, 2011.
Born in Macon Co., he was the son of the late Samuel E. Hall and Buena Vista Cabe Hall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Ray Hall who passed away May 25, 2010. Edwin retired after 43 years from Nantahala Power and Light after as customer service manager. He was a US Army Signal Core Veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the 911 Steering Committee and Town Zoning Board. Edwin attended First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Sharon H. Oliver of Fletcher, NC and Tammy H. Costello of Rochester, NY; four brothers, Johnny Hall of Franklin, Kenny Hall of Blue Ridge, GA, Joe Hall of Franklin and James Cabe of Franklin; four sisters, Ann Bradshaw of Clarksville, GA, Roseanne Bradley, Sue Hunter and Gail Shope all of Franklin and a grandson, Ryan Oliver.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Dusek and Dr. Robert Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
