Obituary
Edward Kenneth Sumner, 89, of Franklin, passed away on Friday, March 13, 2020.
Born in Avon Park, Fl, he was the son of the late Jesse V. and Mae Belle Chancey Sumner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lorine Williams Sumner. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church. Edward proudly served as a Sgt in the Air Force both in the United States and in England. He enjoyed attending reunions with his fellow service men.
Edward is survived by his daughter, Yvonne Nielson (Mark) of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconson; a son, Dennis Sumner of Riverside, Washington; a stepson, Arlie Lewis of Wilson, NC; and eight grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held with a Celebration of Life being planned at a later date.
Macon Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
