Edward owned and operated a woodworking plant "Goulet's Wood Products" in Indian Lake and with his parents, helped build Cedar River Golf Course in Indian Lake. He moved with his family to Florida and in 1967, as a talented craftsman, worked to build Disney World. In 1975, Edward retired and moved to Franklin, North Carolina. For about ten years, he was a locksmith, opening "Goulet's Locksmith". After selling the locksmith business, Edward turned an old girls private boarding school into apartments and Morrison's Campground. Both of his businesses are still in operation today. After retiring from the campground, he moved to a smaller home and eventually to Hudson Falls, with his daughter and son in law.
Edward loved square dancing with his wife in NC and Florida and reciting poetry. He also enjoyed telling stories of his hunting days. Edward was a wonderful woodworker who could build anything. He would invent and reinvent articles that he bought. For example, Edward added brakes to a wheelbarrow. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
