Obituary
Edith Reedy Beckwith, 83, of Auburn, GA formerly of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013.
Born in Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar P. Reedy, Sr. and Virginia P. Garland Reedy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Beckwith who passed on June 8, 2001 and a grandson, Chad B. Britt who passed on August 20, 2004. Edith was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dan and Karen Britt of Auburn, GA; son, Chuck Beckwith of Orlando, FL; brother, Oscar P. Reedy, Jr. of Orlando; sister, Mary Belloit of Orlando, FL; five grandchildren, Christopher, Jennifer, Amanda, Charlie and Eric; one great grandson, Tripp Daniel Britt; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 28, at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. The family will have a gathering of friends at the home of Karen Britt, 545 Quail Trail Road Auburn, GA, following the service.
