Edgar "Eddie" Ervin Crane, 57, of Franklin, NC, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Ervin Andrew and Margie Hurst Crane.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cynthia "Cindy" Flynn Crane; brother, Jim Crane and sister, Brenda Rich. He was a member of Central Baptist Church.

He is survived by his companion, Julia Dowdle; daughters, Stephanie Bowles (Shawn) of Franklin, NC; Ashley Murphy (Matthew) of Graham, NC; brothers, Fred, Donnie, Larry and Tom Crane all of Franklin, NC; sisters, Ruth Ann Stancil of Franklin, NC, Virginia Hylton of Otto, NC; grandchildren, Sutton Bowles, Tatum Murphy; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Gary McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m, Thursday, March 24, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Rick Crane, Bryan Burt, David Cheek, Daniel Crane, Zachary Crane and Bryson Burt.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
