Reverend Ed Trull went home to be with the Lord on April 4, 2013. Eddie was a great man of God who was loved by all who knew him. He devoted his entire life to the Lord. He was well known for his unforgettable singing voice as well as his pastoral skills. Ed was a wonderful husband, father, pastor and friend. He will be missed immeasurably.
Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, June Case Trull, daughter Lisa Martin and husband Dave Martin, son, Brett Trull and grandchildren Harley, Railey and Hank.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Margaret Trull of Clyde, sister Cathy Trull James of Canton and brother Rusty Trull of Clyde as well as his father-in-law Claude Case.
Ed graduated from Pisgah High School and Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute for Pastoral Ministries. Ed enjoyed serving God through singing with The Laymen Quartet from 1972-1981. He served as pastor at Jonathon Creek Baptist Church as well as music director for East Waynesville Baptist Church. He served as pastor of Holly Springs Baptist Church in Franklin for 25 years. He was on the Board of Directors of the Baptist State Convention of NC, Board of Directors of The Biblical Recorder, Board of Directors of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce, Moderator of the Macon Baptist Association, substitute teacher and volunteer for Macon County Schools, volunteer at the Macon County Sheriff's Department. He was also named Man of The Year by the WNC Community Development Organization. Ed was also a proud member of The Franklin Panthers Football team as their statistician.
Services for Rev. Ed Trull will be Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Woodland Baptist Church in Clyde, NC at 2:00 pm. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute 1455 Gilliam Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792, in memory of Rev. Ed Trull.
