Dwain Downs Imahara, 74, of Franklin, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Downs and Ruby Jones Downs. Dwain was a graduate of the University of Alabama; member of the Franklin Duplicate Bridge Club; was an avid reader; and enjoyed playing golf, cooking, walking and yoga.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years, John K. Imahara; two sons, David Imahara (Kari) of Buford, GA and Scott Imahara (Sarita) of Scotts Valley, CA; sister, Emma Jean Taylor (Joe) of Franklin; brother, Clyde Downs, Jr. of Raleigh; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 2, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Guy Duvall and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday, April 2, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be David Imahara, Scott Imahara, Jackie Downs, Howell Downs, Karl Gillespie, Logan Gillespie, Janet Gillespie, and Latresa Shuler.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Ridgecrest Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or CarePartners Hospice, 170 Church Street, Franklin, NC 28734.
