Dretrice "D.L." Lagran Causey, 90, of Franklin, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.

Born in Miami Beach, FL, he was the son of the late Palton L. Causey and Verona Smith Causey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Charles Causey. D.L. was a US Navy veteran and a retired Dade County (Florida) Fire Fighter where he served 30 years in the Metro Dade area. He attended Riverside Fellowship Church.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Olga Ethel Rasky Causey; three children, Michael L. Causey (Mary) of Stuart, FL, Steven K. Causey of Franklin, NC, formerly of Eagle River, AK and Melanie C. Kerchenski (Mike) of Corona, CA; one brother, Lehman Causey of Greensboro, NC; three grandchildren, Lisa Santana, Jenelle Weston, Michelle Causey; seven great grandchildren, Conner Weston, Alex Santana, Jr., Karoleena Santana, Janelly Perrera, Yan Perrera, Colton Weston and Matt Santana and Honey II, his beloved beagle.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28 at Riverside Fellowship Church. Rev. Bobby Cloer will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Riverside Fellowship Church or one's favorite charity.
