Obituary
Dorothy Mildred Sim, 83, of Franklin, NC, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013.
Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Russell Thomas Burgess and Lysle Ella Wilkes Burgess. Dorothy was a very active member of Coweeta Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 47 years, John Ernest Sim of Franklin; four children, David Russell Sim of Greenville, SC, Robert Matthew Sim of Murphy, John Joseph Sim of Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Cheryl Ann Scullin of Columbus, OH; sister, Ella Heron of Royal Oak, MI; brother, Russell Thomas Burgess of Novi, MI; three grandchildren, Conner Christian Sim of Franklin, Andrew Sim of Charleston, SC and Laura Phelan of Columbus, OH and four great-grandchildren, Caiden, Ryan, Bella and Josie Phelan all of Columbus, OH.
A Memorial Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, February 24th at Coweeta Baptist Church. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Coweeta Baptist Church Building Fund.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
