Dorothy Marie Ledford, 79, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010.

Born in Macon Co., she was the daughter of the late Grady Cunningham and Nina Curtis Cunningham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Cunningham and sister, Nellie Cunningham. Dorothy had a great love for children and provided child care for most of her life. She was a member of First Assembly of God.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Bryant Ledford of Franklin; son, Randy Ledford and wife Kim of Franklin; two sisters, Edith Byrd of Franklin and Betty Foster of Cornelia, GA; three grandchildren, Colten Ledford, McKinley Ledford and Trent Ledford and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 30, at Prentiss Church of God. Rev. Tom Grubb, Rev. Don Moffitt and Rev. Tim Hayes will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Mark Foster, Rodney Foster, Rick Ledford, Tim Ledford, Duane Brabson and Tommy Byrd.
