BELL, DOROTHY ELIZABETH "DOTTIE" passed away peacefully on February 3rd while surrounded by her family.

She was the devoted wife to the late Tom Bell of Miami and a loving mother to three wonderful sons, Roger Hilton (Emily) of Boca Raton, Florida; Tom Bell (Cathy) of Pembroke Pines, Florida; and Michael Bell (Bill Chiodo) of Miami, Florida. She will also be missed by her 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; loving friend, Daniel Lewis; loyal beagle, Freckles; and an extended array of family and friends from Miami, Franklin, North Carolina, and elsewhere.

Dottie was born in New Jersey, but grew up in New York City and Havana, Cuba. She lived in Miami for most of her adult life, working for Miami-Dade County Public Schools until her retirement in 1980. Most of her retirement years were enjoyed in the mountains of North Carolina; however, in 2005 she returned to Miami, the city she called "home."

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 16th at 11:00 a.m. at Miami Shores Presbyterian Church �" McArthur Chapel, 601 Northeast 96th Street, Miami Shores, FL 33138. Light repast will immediately follow in the church's Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Dottie's name to Bay Oaks Home, 435 NE 34 Street, Miami, FL 33137.
