Doris ArbaLou Fouts Lynch, 91, of Franklin, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015.
Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late W.T. Fouts and Dora Rickman Fouts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, W.R. "Widge", Milton, Marshall, Remon and Jacob Aster and sisters, Lois Franklin, Dessie Guyer and Frances Taylor. Doris retired from the Macon County Board of Education where she worked for over 40 years as office administrator. She was a member of Iotla Baptist Church where she taught the Katherine Sunday School Class for many years, served as church clerk and was member of the choir. She was a member of the Retired School Personnel Association. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, above all her family was the most important part of her life.
She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Rowland and husband Steve; two sons, George Lynch and wife Nancy and Wayne Lynch and wife Barbara all of Franklin; brother, Merritt Fouts and wife Lucille of Franklin; sister-in-law, Mary Evelyn Fouts; three grandchildren, Christy (Regan), Ryan (Amber) and Josh (Kristen); five great grandchildren, Kelsey, Kirsey, Olivia, Kaleb and Sam; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 30, at Iotla Baptist Church. Dr. Jeff Hensley, Rev. Steve Reeves, Rev. Tommy Fouts, Rev. Caden Fouts and Dr. Avery Fouts will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Bill Fouts, Guy Fouts, Jim Fouts, Lynn Garrison, Sharon Taylor, Eddie Guyer, Alex Taylor and Kaleb Apel.
