Obituary

Donna Elizabeth Knott Williams, 85, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2011.

Born in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Knott and Pearl Selby Knott. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Glenn Williams; a daughter, Nancy Williams Fox and a sister, Dorothy Thomas Rimer. Before Donna moved to Franklin in 1997 she volunteered with Meals on Wheels; was a deacon and elder at Southfield Presbyterian Church and was a candy striper at an assisted living facility in Milford, Michigan. She was a volunteer at Macon County Humane Society Thrift Shop in Franklin and was a member of Morrison Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her companion, Leonard Senkbeil of Franklin; daughter, Glenda Terwilliger of Dillard, GA; a sister, Margaret Sweet of McBain, MI; three granddaughters, Ruth Cannon of Rochester Hills, MI, Julie Hollis of Tampa, FL and Carol Terwilliger of Raliegh, NC; three great granddaughters, Rachel E. Hollis, Wendy B. Hollis and Rachel B. Cannon and numerous special nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Dr. Wendell Ligon and Rev. Don Barber will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
