Donald Edwin Stamey, 83, of Otto, passed away Sunday, February 3, 2013.

Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late Ernest Stamey and Louise Holden Riggins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Donald Edwin Stamey Jr. Donald was a US Navy veteran and served during the Korean conflict. He was a member of Coweeta Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, U Kum Kim Stamey; daughter, Betty Belinda Stone of Maryville, TN; son, Ernest Evans Stamey of Knoxville, TN; two step-sons, Tipton Shawn Paymale and Timothy Chad Paymale; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7th, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Davis Hooper will officiate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
