Donald Raymond Bowen, 60, of Franklin, went home to Glory on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.

Born in Lampertheim, Germany, he was the son of Donald R. Bowen, Sr. and the late Anna Foltz Magee. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, Fran Magee. Don was a US Navy veteran and served during Vietnam. He was a member of the Patriot Guard and American Legion Post 108. He enjoyed drawing and riding his Harley. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Pamela Bowen; three children, Becky Lovell of Seneca, SC, Jaime Traver of Rabun Gap, GA and Karen Beck and husband Corey of Clayton, GA; three sisters; two brothers; four grandchildren, Derek Traver (Krystin), Chelsea Clifton, Lindsi Grace Moore and Madison Roseberry; three great grandchildren, Elijah, Aaron and Maxwell Traver and many extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, February 4th at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Rev. Greg Rogers and Rev. Mike Chastain will officiate with full military rites conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and American Legion Post 108.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m., prior to the service at the church.
