Obituary
Donald E. Tallent, 78, of Atlanta, GA formerly of Franklin, NC, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Jeff Tallent and Mae Dillingham Tallent. Don retired from Ford Motor Company. He enjoyed baseball & fishing.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn Ledford Tallent; three children, Tommy Tallent, Donna Tallent Gore and Debra Stone all of Atlanta, GA; Three sisters, Barbara Shuler of Kingsport, Tenn., Adalene Dillingham and Ruth Wilkes of Franklin; and five grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 29, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Terry Wilkes and Rev. Don Moffitt will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior the service.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
