Obituary
Don Capaforte, 58, of Franklin, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, October 19, 2018.
Born in Miami, FL, he was the son of Patricia Waters Capaforte and the late Louis John Capaforte. Don was a member of Cowee Baptist Church and was very active in Missionary work throughout his life; including seven trips to Moldova. He worked at Georgia Baptist Children's Homes and Family Ministries for a total of 18 years, was Foundation Director at Angel Medical Center, former director of CareNet; and was presently Administrative Officer of Macon County Senior Services.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 34 years Jeana VanHook Capaforte, daughter Amelia Jones (Tom); son, Anthony Capaforte (Ruthie); granddaughter Adelaide Capaforte; brother, Tony Capaforte; sisters, Suzan Capaforte (Harry) and Julie Capaforte; and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 28 at Cowee Baptist Church. Rev. Jason Smith, Rev. Darryl Womack and Dr. David Hammonds will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:30 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Cowee Baptist Church Missions Fund. 6301 Bryson City Road, Franklin, NC 28734.
