Obituary

Dianne Deitz Roten, 64, of Franklin, died Thursday, August 9, 2012 of a rare autoimmune disease called cardiac amyloidosis, causing congestive heart failure.

Born in Jacksonville, FL, she was the daughter of the late Cline Deitz and Jewel Bennett Deitz Crawford. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by paternal grandparents; Danah Hall Deitz and Alvin Deitz. She owned and operated Dianne's Beauty Salon for 33 years, from 1977 to 2010. She was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, member of Nite Owl Bowling League and a supporter of Relay for Life. Dianne enjoyed sewing, cooking and gardening; and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William A. "Bill" Roten; three children, Paula Renee Roten Myers and husband David Myers of Franklin, Kevin Duane Roten and wife Jeana Cookston Roten of Anderson SC and Revonda Kaye Roten of Franklin; three grandchildren, Erica Kate Myers , Alex Jarod Roten and Madelyn Elise Roten; sister, Denise Deitz Dries and husband Joe Dries of Sylva; brother, Danny Deitz of Sylva; two step brothers, Randy Crawford of Keystone Heights, FL and Ronnie Crawford and wife Eva of Morristown, TN; two step sisters, Darlene Stokley and husband Bob of Keystone Heights, FL and Donna Sullivan and husband Danny of Keystone Heights, FL; step father, Kenneth Crawford of Keystone Heights, FL; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11, at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Rev. Eddie Trull and Rev. Brandon Breedlove will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 11, at Holly Springs Baptist Church.
