Dennis Roger Tippett, 52, of Franklin, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2013.

Born in Macon Co, he was the son of Paul and Lucille Crisp Tippett. Dennis enjoyed hunting, fishing, taxidermy, gardening, canning, wine making, tying fishing flies and fly fishing. He worked for the NC Forest Service, the US Forest Service and was a dispatcher for Macon County Emergency Services. He was Baptist by faith.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, Kim Tippett; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Michael and Peggy Ramey of Franklin; four children, Brandon, Emilie, Kyle and Daniel "Boone" Tippett all of the home; brother, Chuck Tippett and wife Sharon of Franklin; uncles, Bill Crisp of Manassas, VA and Bobby Crisp of Fredericksburg, VA; sisters-in-law, Laura Ramey and Cheryl Ramey; several nieces and nepehws; special friends, Jane Stamey, Rita Enloe, Nickie Tallent, Mike Lequire and all other Macon County co-workers.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Lloyd Fish and Rev. Alton Dendy will officiate. Burial will be in the Cowee Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10th at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Clay Cogdill, Bruce Bennett, Larry Moses, Brandon Crone, Mike Lequire, Greg Dills and David Ramey. Emergency workers will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
