Obituary
Dennis Gene Porter, 71, of Franklin passed away Friday, June 22nd, 2018.
Born in Portersville, PA, he was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Betty Jane Morrison Porter. Dennis was a member of the R.O.M.E.O Club, where he enjoyed meeting his buddies for breakfast. Dennis enjoyed good jokes, Nascar and Chevrolets.
He is survived by his wife, Cindy Porter of Franklin, NC; one son, Justin Porter (Eva) of Philadelphia, PA; four step-daughters, Barbara Cave (Jon) of Sevierville, TN; Lisa Robles (Gil) of Franklin, NC; Christina Brown of New Orleans, LA; Candace Kent of Sanford, NC; a cousin, Ralph Porter (Leona) of Porterville, PA; one sister, Peggy Barger of New Smyrna Beach, FL; Sixteen grandchildren including Aidan Porter and Matthew Porter; and a daughter Heather Porter of TX.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Victory Junction, 4500 Adams Way, Randleman, NC 27317 or Wheels of Time, 62 Vintage Lane, Maggie Valley, NC 28751.
