"Grandpa" Delmer Bradford Durm, 83, of Franklin, NC, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2010.
Born Norfolk, Nebraska, he was the son of the late Charles Durm and Ella Richmond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Delpha Brown and Bonita Brazil. Delmer was a US Navy veteran and served during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion. He helped build "Carolina Village".
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ostlien Durm; two sons, Dean Durm and wife Candi of Franklin and Brad Durm and wife Candy of Saratoga, CA; three daughters, Rae Sandberg and husband Joe of Reedpoint, MT, Donna Zari of Franklin and Shelli Durm of Reedpoint, MT; sixteen grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 23, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Vic Greene will officiate. Military Rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post 108.
