David Brandon Weathers, 82, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013.
Raised in Florida and Mobile, AL he was the son of the late James J. Weathers and Lois Mixon Weathers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James "Jim Jeff" Weathers and Beman Weathers. David was a US Air Force veteran and served during the Korean conflict. He worked as a Chemical Engineer and was Manager of laboratory safety at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
He is survived by his wife Susan Rubinstein Weathers; three children: Mike Weathers and wife Melissa of Monroe, GA, Barbara Ortega and husband Larry of Rabun Gap, GA and James Rubinstein and wife Devin of Saratoga, CA; seven grandchildren: Christopher Baer, Andrew Weathers, Lindsey Weathers, Caitlin Ortega, Jack Ortega, Parker Rubinstein and Lillian Rubinstein.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, October 5th at Macon Funeral Home. Rabbi Stone Zvi Altman will officiate.
Memorial donations can be made to the Macon County Art Association.
