Danny "Red" Hodgin, 59, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2011.
Born in Macon Co. he was the son of Odell Hodgin and Mary Ledford Hodgin. Red enjoyed to hunt, fish and golf. He loved spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his former wife, Barbara Trammel; three sons, Chris Hodgin, Justin Hodgin and Matthew Hodgin all of Franklin; brothers, Wayne Hodgin and wife Ruby and Clifford Hodgin and wife Kathy both of Franklin; sisters, Diane Johnson and husband R.V. of Sylva, Lynne Gregory and husband Terry of Franklin and Cathy Williams and husband Roger of Franklin; grandchildren, Aiden Hodgin and Tyler Williams; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 1, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Eddie Stillwell and Elbert McConnell will officiate. Burial will be in Hodgin Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 30 at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Sam Payne, Ronnie Holland, Phil Holland, Roger Bates, Roger Williams, Jack Hodgin, Benny Phillips and Steve Shepherd.
