Daniel Hudson Cottrell, 76, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017.

Born in Romulus, MI, he was the son of the late Sidney Cottrell and Augusta Cecil Hudson Cottrell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Daniel was owner and operator of Dan's Automotive. He was a member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church and a former elder of the church. He was very active in A.A. and worked with prisoners, sharing the ministries.

He is survived by his daughter, Sabrina Miglino and husband Chris of Orlando, FL; two sons, Danny Cantera and Dennis Cantera both of Pinellas Park, FL; one brother, Dave Cottrell of Venice, FL; longtime friend, Pat Cottrell of Franklin and Renee Jones of Townsend, GA & Jessie Carris of Franklin, both of whom he loved and thought of as "daughters"; a very large family of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends who all dearly loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, November 11th at Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Vic Greene will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 11-12 p.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.
