Daniel Joseph Birchard, 56, of Pyeongtaek, South Korea and Franklin, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013.
Born in Walled Lake, MI, he was the son of Lillian Jarnot Birchard and the late Jesse Raymond Birchard. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Noviski. Dan worked for Caterpillar as a CPS Six Sigma Blackbelt, which took him to Korea. He was a North Carolina real estate broker; was a faith formation teacher at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and previously operated Olde Mill House Rentals. He had a BBA from St. Joseph's College of Maine and was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lori Brokaw Birchard; five sons, Nicholas Alan Birchard, Jesse Raymond Birchard, Joseph Adam Birchard, Noah Arthur Birchard and Leighton James Birchard all of Franklin; nine brothers and sisters, Dennis Birchard of Pasadena, MD, Denise Cox of Denver, CO, Paula Nelson of Picford, MI, Patrice Musto of Pontiac, MI, Delene Taylor of Fowlerville, MI, Diane Ennamorato of Santa Cruz, CA, Dean Birchard of St. Petersburg, FL, Darcene O'Donnell of Sioux Falls, MO, and Donald Birchard of Tucson, AZ and two grandchildren, Olivia Kailey Birchard and Caden Nicholas Birchard.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28th at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Tien Duong, Father Matthew Kauth, and Father Crispine Adongo will officiate. Burial will be in Rush Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 9-11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 28th at Macon Funeral Home.
