Cordie Mae Angel, 98, of Franklin, passed away Monday, January 15, 2007.

A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Ben Gibson and Dolly Jennings Gibson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred J. Angel who died in 1977 and a daughter, AnnaLee Angel. Cordie was the oldest member of Mashburn Branch Baptist Church.

She is survived by two children, Carl Angel and Pearl Holland both of Franklin; sister, Kandus Angel of Franklin; brother, Wymer Gibson of Franklin; four grandchildren, Carlene Hunnicutt, Larry Angel, Mike Holland and Bonnie Manogue; five great granchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Ernie Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethel Methodist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be James Hunnicutt, Larry Angel, Jeremy Angel, R.L. Gibson, Don Deal and Gary Gibson.

Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
