Obituary
Colleen Alexander Lind, 90, of Franklin, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2007.
A native of Petersburg, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Myrta Arnold Alexander. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Vernon William Lind, who died December 19, 2003. Colleen was a registered nurse at Angel Medical Center for many years and attended Dan Springs Baptist Church in Bryson City, NC. She was a graduate of Indiana University and practiced nursing for 50 yrs.
Surviving are four children, Myrta Lind Giunta of Tampa, FL, Vernon William Lind, Jr. of Charlotte, NC, Mary Lind Cohen of Santa Rosa, CA, and Martha Lind of Franklin; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Cochran will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m., one hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Angel Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 815, Franklin, NC 28744.
