Clyde Sanders, 85, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011.
Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Frank Sanders and Iris Tallent Sanders. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janelle Greene Sanders who died May 20, 2007 and a brother, Bob Sanders who died February 3, 2007. Clyde was the owner of Clyde's Restaurant and co-owner of Macon Motor Company. He was a real estate broker for many years and a charter member of The Franklin Board of Realtors. Clyde was a Paul Harris fellow of the Franklin Rotary Club; a member of the Franklin Lion's Club; member of the Junaluskee Masonic Lodge No.145 and a member and deacon of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. He loved to travel; was a licensed pilot and was a Nascar fan.
He is survived by two children, Dennis Sanders and wife Carolyn and Donna Kinsland and husband Mike all of Franklin; sisters-in-law, Jodie Sanders, Carolyn Greene and Grace Greene; grandchildren, Seth Kinsland and wife Stephanie, Heath Kinsland and wife Heather, Erica Sanders Moore and husband Russ and Cheryl Vernon and husband Trevor; two great grandchildren, Hailey and Anna Kinsland and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Fouts and Rev. Vic Greene will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joe Sanders, L.C. Smith, Joe Taylor, Stan Southards, Jack Sanders and Tommy Mason.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Seagle, Preston Sanders, Josh Hina, Rob Clark, Leonard Smith, Bruce Craddock, Ginny Hanks, HIlda Young and Deacons of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.
Memorial donations can be made to one's favorite charity.
