Clyde Dover "CD" Lakey, 86, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013.

Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late Japser Lakey and Minnie Tallent Lakey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norva Belle Tabor Lakey and a son, Donald Lake. He was the brother of Eula Shepherd, Emma Icenhower, Bill, Edison and Nelson Lakey. CD worked for APAC Rock Quarry for many years, was a member of Cowee Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by two sons, Gary Lakey and wife Jeanette of Franklin and Keith Lakey of Cornelia, GA; daughter-in-law, Diane Lakey of Franklin; grandson, Neal Lakey of Cornelia, GA and three great grandchildren.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 4, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Jim Dusek and Rev. Steve Reeves will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Members of Cowee Volunteer Fire Department will serve as Pallbearers and Honorary Pallbearers.
