Obituary
Clifford G. Olson, 93, of Franklin, passed away Monday, August 31, 2015.
Born in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Edmund Olson and Mina Snowden Olson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Catherine Smith Olson who died in 2009; daughter, Lynn Catherine Olson who died in 2013 and a brother Edmund Olson. Clifford was a U.S. Navy veteran; a retired fireman in Harrison, NJ; member of St. Agnes Episcopal, Franklin, NC; member of the Harmony Lodge #18, F & AM Masonic Lodge, Toms River, NJ; member of the DAV-John E. Brion, Chapter #81, Forked River, NJ; and a member of the Sgt. William Sawelson-VFW Post #340, Harrison, NJ.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 11, at St. Agnes Episcopal Church. Rev. Dorrie Pratt will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post 7339 and the American Legion Post 108.
