Christy Taylor Downs, 35, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013.
Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of Perry Taylor and Alice Holland Taylor. Christy graduated from Franklin High School in 1996. She loved sewing, crocheting, farming, gardening and poetry. She was a member of Franklin Church of God.
She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jeff Downs; two daughters, Nicole Downs and LeAnne Downs both of the home; brother, Clinton Taylor of Franklin; grandmother, Frankie Henry Taylor of Franklin; mother-in-law, Vivian Lambert Downs; father-in-law, Lee Roy Downs; sister-in-law, Angie Vaughn and husband David all of Franklin; three nephews, Adam, Andrew and Austin Vaughn and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 23rd at Franklin Church of God. Rev. Thurman Jenkins, Rev. Phillip Cochran and Rev. Eugene Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22nd at Macon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Travis Taylor, David Vaughn, Brian Crupi, Dexter Vinson, Kevin Watson and David Hastings. Dewayne Isaacs, Joel Holland and Mark Rogers will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
