Christine H. Welch, 87, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010.

Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Huggins and Reba Parrish Huggins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Huggins; sister, Laura Jean Stidham and granddaughter, Claudia Welch. She was a member of Burningtown Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Claude Welch; three sons, Gary, Dale and Ben Welch all of Franklin; a daughter, Claudine McCrackin of Franklin; two brothers, Rass and Mitchell Huggins of Franklin; five sisters, Ann Welch, Carol Lee Mehta and Wanda Fouts all of Franklin, Nadine Denny of Cookeville, TN and Betty Sue Harper of Huntsville, AL; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; a great great grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 30, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Reeves and Rev. Randy Drinnon will officiate. Burial will be in the Burningtown Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at Macon Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Turner, Justin, Zachary, Andy, Christopher, Chad and Dale Welch.
