Christine "Teenie" Southard Mincey, 83, of Franklin, passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2014.

Born in Macon Co, she was the daughter of the late Bert Southard and Delphia Miller Southard Peek. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marshall Mincey who died in 1999; daughter, Deborah Hood who died on May 8, 2014; grandson, Darren Frazier and four sisters, Hallie, Irene, Martha and Bertha. Christine enjoyed working in her flower garden, crocheting and taking care of all her grandchildren. She was a member of Ellijay Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Paulette King of Franklin; two brothers, Sam Peek of Charleston, SC and William Peek of Franklin; four grandchildren, Ashley Hood, Brandon Hood, Stacy Frazier and Brandt Frazier; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 8th in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Morris Tippett and Rev. Neil Moore will officiate. Burial will be in Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
