Charlie "Buddy" Morgan Jr, 72, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018.

Born in Macon County, he was the son of the late Charles Morgan Sr. and Juanita Sanders Morgan. Charlie was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church and an avid NASCAR fan.

Charlie is survived by his ex-wife, Christine Morgan, of Franklin; son, Charles Morgan (Nikki), of Franklin; son, Matthew Morgan, of Franklin; and daughter, Rita Morgan, of Franklin. Charlie is also survived by a brother, Gary Morgan (Mary Ann), of Clyde; and 2 sisters, Rita Byrd and Karen Dalrymple, both of Franklin; four grandchildren, Melissa, Serinity, Alex, and Zack; and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, July 3, 2018 in the Watauga Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Gary McCoy and Rev. Wesley Price will officiate.
