Charles "Pete" J. Haller Jr., 86, of Franklin, passed away Tuesday, February 01, 2011.
Born in Dumont, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles J. Haller Sr. and Gertrude Thiel Haller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Claude, Harold and Raymond and sisters, Dorothy, Ruth and Grace. Pete was a US Army Veteran and served during WWII. He was a Tech Sergeant and was a POW. He was a diesel mechanic and owned his own shop. He was also a carpenter. Pete was a member of the American Legion Post 108. He attended Prentiss Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vickie Haller; three sons, William D. Austin and wife Jackie of Sebring, FL, Paul Haller and wife Melissa of Canton, GA and David Haller and wife Pat of Tampa, FL; a brother, Fred Haller of Franklin; two sisters, Sis Nipper of Lake Placid, FL and Jerri Wilson of Satellite Beach, FL; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 4 at Pete and Vickie's home. Rev. Lloyd Fish and Rev. Randy Drinnon will officiate.
Memorial donations can be made to one's favorite charity.
