Steven Chad Asby, 56, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, September 1, 2013.
Born in Tokorozawa, Japan, he was the son Bucky Asby and Mildred Lillard Asby. Chad was self-employed in small motor engine repairs. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed camping.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Melba Richards Asby; two children, Steven Asby and wife Lauren of Greenville, NC and Jennifer Asby of Aden, NC; four step children, Diana Peavy of Franklin, Debra Hubbard and husband Shad of Cleveland, TN, Steven Watts of Tallahassee, FL and Cindy Watts of Franklin; brother, Scott Lillard Asby of Franklin; four grandchildren and eleven step grandchildren.
Graveside Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, at Iotla Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Steve Reeves and Dr. Jeff Hensley will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service at Macon Funeral Home.
