Obituary
Cecil Clyde Phipps, 81, of Franklin, NC, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2006.
A native of Hazzard, Kentucky, he was the son of the late William and Dora Bonds Phipps. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mabel Bowling Phipps; second wife, Lupe Phipps; daughter, Delores Jannell Welch and son, Cecil Clyde Phipps, Jr.. He was a member of Franklin Church of Christ.
He is survived by a son, William Phipps and his wife Colleen of Franklin; one brother, Charles Ray Phipps of Taylor, Michigan; nine grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 29, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Radford Penland will officiate. Burial will be in Kentucky.
The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, at Macon Funeral Home.
Macon Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
