Carol Grace Cukla, 80, of Franklin, NC passed away, Thursday, January 3, 2019, surrounded by her family.

She was a beloved wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and aunt. She was the heart of our family. Carol was born on November 29, 1938 in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of Florence Wagner of Chicago, IL and her stepfather, the late Frederick Wagner. She lived in Chicago until 1977 when she moved with her husband and children to Franklin, NC. She was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to her step father, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Cukla, and a nephew, Edward Graczyk. She is survived by her mother; three children, Joseph (Tessie), Laura Bishop (Maurice), and Suzanne Baldwin (Mike); three grandchildren, Anna Bishop, Matthew Bishop and Jane Remigio; brother-in-law, Jerome Graczyk; and several beloved nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 12, at St. Francis Catholic Church. Father Tien Duong will officiate.
