Obituary
Carlton Grady Martin, 82, of Franklin, passed away Monday, June 6, 2011, in Franklin.
Born in Macon Co, he was the son of the late John Marion Martin and Mary Lucinda Gregory Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Katherine Gregory Martin; second wife Irene Price Martin and sister, Effie Mae Jones Carlton loved to fish, garden and hunt for ginseng. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
He is survived by three children, Carolyn Collier and husband Roy, Linda Prince and husband David and David Martin all of Franklin; two step children, Johnny Price and Lois Price and two grandchildren, Monica Collier and Kathy Prince both of Franklin.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Mike McConnell and Rev. Mike Penland will officiate. Burial will be in Coweeta Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, NC 28215.
